One of the most moving stories from the First Age of Middle Earth is the legend of Beren and Lúthien. This two-part series, though, begins with the tale of the Silmarils and Melkor turned Morgoth before setting the stage for the romance of Beren and his Tinúviel. It also shows us the beginnings of Sauron before he declared himself Lord of the Rings. This tale is taken straight from the Quenta Silmarillion, The Lay of Leithian, and other sources, and is a story you won’t want to miss.
